Over the past few months I have been experiencing a really odd noise in reverse gear. The noise sounds kind of like a squeaking mixed with a dragging noise. It is NOT brakes (I just had my rear pads and rotors replaced last week and my fronts replaced 11k miles ago). The car does NOT make this noise in any of the forward gears (as far as I can tell). The car feels perfectly normal to drive. Nothing is dragging on the ground, and thus non of the underbody panels seem to be causing or contributing to the noise. The noise typically only occurs when the car is in reverse ABOVE 5 mph or on a steep hill (only when the engine speed is up slightly). I took the car in to my dealer to diagnose it, and they said that they couldn’t find anything wrong with it. They suggested that it might be a buildup of dirt or dust, which doesn’t make any sense to me since the car doesn’t go through much if any dirt or gravel ever and is regularly washed. Any help, suggestions, or possible causes which I could investigate would be helpful. I will post a video when I get a chance to make one.

The car does not leak anything either.

Nothing comes to mind. A video or sound clip may help others recognize the noise.

Does the sound/pitch/tone change with rpm? Or speed?

edit...just realized that's a dumb questions as there is only 1 reverse gear, so you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

check the dust shield. maybe its hitting the rotor? not sure why it woudl only happen in reverse though.
