So far so good. Downpipes are stock, just the cat back system from Borla (140704) Kinda loud at startup, S mode is much more aggressive sounding overall too, hard to see in the video though, but on the road, you floor it in S vs D and it is very different. D mode with the family, S without. The gurgle/backfire noise in S mode is very loud too, sounds good, but hopefully I won't get sick of it in a month or so.....videos below.

Sounds good, any hint of drone at cruising speeds?

I haven't done any highway cruising, but on a normal road around 45-50 you can barely hear it in D mode. S mode you can still hear it since it sits at a lower gear at higher RPM, but normal cruising in D you can barely tell.

Sounds great!!!! I've had a few Borla systems on various vehicles, they all sounded very good.... fit/finish was also excellent.

Quick update. Have not had it on the highway yet, but in D mode I think it will be fine, can barely hear it when I am at constant speed on the road. As you know, in S mode with the Sport exhaust, it has a backfire/gurgle noise when you let off the gas or when the car downshifts. With this exhaust, that noise is highly amplified, when you hit the gas hard, then let off, it backfires loudly and crackles. Sounds like a race car. Family not too thrilled about that, so I will have to keep it in D mode with them in the car without any backfire noises. It is LOUD in S mode though, hopefully I won't get sick of the backfiring noise when I accelerate hard in S.

update with drone at highway speeds please!!
We went to great lengths to ensure it doesn't drone anywhere. If you purchase this exhaust and experience drone please send me an email to
[email protected] so I can resolve it for you. With that said, you won't have an issue with drone.
We didn't test our exhaust with modifications to emissions control devices, but if the exhaust is otherwise stock, with stock cats etc, you won't have any drone with our stuff.
Thanks!

There is no drone that I can see so far, I like that a lot. I still am not too thrilled with the excessive pop in S mode on deceleration and downshifting though, sounds way too loud. I love it on acceleration and in D mode, but that S mode crackle/pop being just so loud is really bad. I guess it is due to the ECU programming from Audi, and this system just make that a lot louder. May have to go with an EPL tune now or something that helps reduce that popping, it sounds a little embarrassing when it pops on the street.
