So I got a brand new tire for my stock 20” rims my front right one is worn tf out(alignment was messed up when I got the car) the other 3 tires are pretty solid still. However I’m reading that I should replace all 4 tires at once because of the AWD system. And then there’s ppl saying that’s BS. Now with that being said I ordered the new tire same size and everything but 320 Tread while all the others are 220(is this an issue also?) pls let me know

How much tread depth do you have left on the 3 older tires? If you still have most of the tread depth left you should be okay. I would buy the same tire as the 3 you still have though.

I'm sure you'll get all sorts of different opinions, there is no exact science to it as all cars react differently.. I believe that with the Quattro system, Audi recommends to replace all 4 because there are various sensors judging how many revolutions each tire is making and the system wants all tires to be rotating the exact same amount under "no slip" conditions. Putting a larger diameter tire on (Brand new tire versus the other 3 that have some wear) may make the car think tire slip is happening or 3 tires are going flat..

Also, as mentioned above, you don't really want to mix tire sizes or models, keep them all the same..

there is a limit to how much tread difference can be on right and left tires on the same axle. i think it is 2/32 difference.

you can purchase 1 new tire, and have it shaved down to match the tire on the opposite side.

you can purchase 2 new tires and replace both tires on the problem axle.

purchase 4 new tires.
this is most likely the best option since your tires are kind of worn and if you only replace 2 now, youre going to always be replacing in set of 2 as they wear.

If you decide to replace 2 or more I would recommend that you keep the ones that are not warn out if you have the storage space. In a pinch they come in handy if you cut a tire down later or you can sell them yourself. Someone might need a tire in the near future.
