Well, it finally came in today!
Picked up my 16' A6 TDI Prestige S-Line with 51K miles. Has all the good packages minus the cold-weather and the massaging seats. I am already talking to both KERMA and Malone for a new ECU tune to give the car even more juice. I have only driven it for roughly 15 minutes since taking it but it feels so nice. Such a clean car, plush inside, and just feels planted.

I did, yes. I have the title for my S3 and also bought the A6 outright as well. Just no use for the S3 anymore so selling that currently.

I find myself missing the easy power of the MQB chassis. Both of my Rs were tuned to stg2. Interesting to see someone else who went big chassis after the MQB. 130923

Funny you said all this! I had a launch edition Golf R, sold it to buy a house(still in that house), decided to buy the S3 which has been a STELLAR car. My wife and I got pregnant in February and are due in November this year and so we decided to get her a 15' Q5 TDI. I find myself wanting to drive her SUV with the TDI motor more than my S3 honestly. I then remembered they shoved that motor in the A6 so I searched around and test drove one and just fell in love with the damn thing.
I love the MQB platform for everything that can be modified and done but damn this A6 just takes the cake, especially with that diesel motor.
My S3 is full UM tuned with port injection so its a damn rocket, but the A6 is just a sexy nice riding car. So glad I got the combination I was looking for(moonlight blue and flint gray inside).
Congrats!! I’d love to drive a TDI.

Thanks man! It’s a seriously impressive car. I know the good ole S6 would be a ton faster but this sucker is well rounded in all ways. Just need to add a Kerma tune here soon to wake it up even more. 500+ ft/lbs with a simple flash... come on lol

I feel like a little old lady, but with the tdi you get a 10year 120000 mile warranty on your engine and exhaust system. If you get tuning work done those are gone.

You are absolutely correct there. We have another TDI that is tuned and I’ve never had a problem with any of my cars because of a simple ECU tune(knock on wood). The car also has a 5-year/unlimited warranty on top of the diesel warranty and I would be blown away if AUDI didn’t warranty something because of the tune. It’s never happened yet.
The car drives so well already and maybe it doesn’t need a power bump???

I keep going back and forth on getting a 2016 tdi, from a 2012 a6 i went stage 1 on. Still haven't made up my mind, the extra 10 mpg and the extra warranty sure seem nice though. I do still worry about a loss of oommph.

I purchased a 2014 A6 TDI with 82K miles about 6 weeks ago, also moonlight blue. I know your 2016 has some nice upgrades over the 2014, but I do feel like I got a good deal on mine at $15k. Took it on a 900 mile trip after buying and got 38 MPG with long stretches of 85-90 MPH, quiet and plush ride, great MPG, and pulling power whenever needed. I have the sport package and 20" wheels but the ride doesn't feel to stiff to me, I like it. I also already installed a Stage 2 Malone tune about 2 weeks ago and have seen a slight increase in fuel economy, and butt dyno registers an improvement - although not huge. I did not do any deletes yet. The tune DOES cancel the extended TDI fix warranty, so I'm probably not wise for having done it, but too late.

That is a seriously great deal! I got mine for $29K so I am not terribly mad at that.
I know it technically voids the warranty and maybe they are very harsh with tuned TDI's compared to gas models. I have always had a tuned car and never once had a warranty claim denied with either VW/Audi for any issue. The car completely stock has some great pull but its always fun to have a touch more. Ill keep all this in mind before making that move here soon.

The 16' TDI is seriously badass...I just learned and dealt with both Active Lane Assist and the cruise control distance with cars ahead of me last night...that shit was a trip!

Getting new oil/filter today with some BG diesel additive for the oil.
