Hi guys, I'm new to the Houston area and new to mods in general although I've been lurking on these forums for a while. The heat here is insane compared to NJ where I moved from and I was looking to install a PLM heat exchanger with reservoir as a first upgrade before I get a tune. The car is stock with 53k miles on it driven relatively conservatively for the 4 years I've owned it (bought as CPO). Looking to prioritize cooling > rear sway bar > intake > stage 1.

If anyone has recommendations for shops in the Houston area who can do a hx install at reasonable price, please let me know!

As mintytoo mentioned, those shops are the ones to call. If you have Facebook, go join Audi Club of Houston group. Those shops are also sponsors members from the group have gone and trusted, as they provide awesome services. We have events and meets and even members that have recently moved here from the NYC/NJ area.

E1 Motorsports - APR dealer
Bar Tuning - APR dealer
1st Stop Autohaus - Unitronics dealer
Reisu Motorsports

Get used to it. I just moved from CT a couple months ago. I recommend 1st stop Autohaus with full confidence.

Thanks guys, I called up Bartuning (closest to me) and they said I'd have to bring in the car to even get a quote and they don't take parts from customers. Will continue down the list!

I recently moved to Houston from Jersey as well [up]

I've heard great things about Bartuning, but they will only install parts that you purchase from them. In any case, definitely reach out to Luis at 1st Stop Autohaus or Aadel at E1 Motorsports. I've dealt with both shops personally so you shouldn't be any issues from either one of them. And definitely join the Audi Club Houston Facebook group for great events and local meet-ups.

I've used Reisu Motorsports, A+ experience. Can't recommend highly enough.
