Lotion marks on plastic

This is on my wife's Civic, but don't hold that against her lol.

She likes to heavily lotion her elbows, and then the lotion makes this mark on the door. Any suggestions on how to clean and protect this? (Other than trading her in of course) ;)

A good all purpose cleaner and microfiber will remove that.
