I have two B7s.

2006 A4 B7 has ~173,000 miles and was primarily driven on the east coast. I bought it in 2011 when it had ~78k miles on it. Still running like a champ as my daily on the west coast; with a ton of rust :( haha.

2008 A4 B7 has ~57k miles. I bought it in 2018 with ~48k miles, from a member that didn’t drive it that often so it was in perfect condition. This is my modified version.

Love both cars.

Bought in October of 2016 with 125k. Sits at 207,351 now.

Miles, not kilometers. By the end of the year I’ll probably have put more miles on it that the 2 previous owners in a 1/4 of the time. 😀

As of yesterday my 2006 Avant has 212,000 miles. 2nd owner, I bought it in 2008 with 24,000 miles and put 12K a year on it until 2015. Then I stared a new job with a long highway commute. Since then I have logged another 100K of highway miles.

I rolled over 100k last month, I'm at 101k now. Bought Dec. 1st, 2012 with 54k miles on it. Cam and HPFP were replaced a month after I bought it. So I've put nearly 50k since then on it without any major issues. For being a sickly engine, its been pretty bulletproof, I'll be honest. Especially since the miles are 100% city/traffic. Car was originally the wife's, but became mine (all went according to plan [:D]) a few years back when I sold my USP. Wifey got what she wanted (Q5) I got what I wanted (6MT Ti Avant). Can't believe it was 6 1/2 years ago that I bought it...

Even harder to believe that its been pretty much stock this entire time....

I miss my B7 2.0t Sline, I sold it with 202K, for $6k, original clutch, original turbo, apr 1+ and APR hpfp, just a great car. My sister has an 05, 2.0t base model automatic with 115k- oil pressure problems, spun bearings, bad rear timing chain tensioner; I can only imagine the previous owner cared less about oil changes- car only had 82k when we picked it up.

Quattro Avant 2.0T 6M.

277000km at the moment So 172,000miles. Second owner for the last two years and picked it up at 244000k.

Been the classic example of common things to go wrong from the coolant flange, Thermostat, Vacuum pump, lpfp...even down to the glove box and clip going on the armrest [>_<]....I should be happy as everything is new. Starting to get cold feet though!

Unitronic Stage 2 HPFP since 260000. With HFC and cat back. GFB diverter valve. CTS turbo catch can. Car is running absolutely flawless. City driving goes through a quart every 1500-2000km. 10k west coast road trip last summer just over a quart gobbled up.

Bar the usual regular oil changes and cam follower....i'm just keeping my fingers crossed no oil pressure/balance shaft issues. Turbo I can deal with if it were to go, but still on the original and she's as solid as a rock.

2006 A4 B7 2.0T quattro. 168k miles. Third owner. Purchased from nice older gentleman in our same neighborhood three years ago with 123k then. Wife's daily driver. Outstanding condition, cream puff. Bone stock 'cept for a few items mentioned below. Sole grease monkey. [wrench]
All the usual hiccups:
-cam follower checks every 20k miles now. HPFP, follower and intake cam had been replaced by previous owner
-PCV failure twice, have since installed a PCV delete kit about 18 months ago
-coolant flange
-oil filter mount replaced, the usual oil leak
-resealed vacuum pump, twice
-timing belt/water pump DIY
-ATF replaced and filter, twice
-turbo diverter valve
-ECS billet oil filter housing, oil changes plus filter all done from above now, (use a marine engine oil vacuum pump)
-center console lid
-Koni struts/shocks
-recall, airbags, twice
-wheels repainted
-second set of Pirelli P7 plus tires (first set were on the car when purchased)
-Blizzaks in winter
edit: Oops forgot these:
-replaced center exhaust section, hole in usual spot in Y-pipe
-replaced coils, "E" version R8 coils
-windshield washer line replaced, reservoir currently leaks but high up. Maybe replace, maybe not.

Second Audi and third VAG vehicle. First was a 1982 Audi GT Coupe. Purchased brand new. Black. Sharp.

40,000 miles. I really only use it as winter car now. Just did timing belt, pulleys, cam follower, accessory belt, plugs, coilpacks, GFB+. Car was still running like crap and chirping. Never a check engine light or a code. As a last desperation I ordered a PCV valve and that solved all of my issues. Diaphram was torn.

^^Geez....thought I was low at 70K. Experienced CEL (P0089) only once back in 2011, replaced Thrust Sensor and that fixed it. I did changed out the diaphragm version of the DV at 26K for piston-type even though the original was still good and un-torn. Honestly, the diaphragm type had better throttle response. Now I gotta consider tackling the t-stat, t-belt, and wp. The sooner the better at its age.

^^ and are you the original owner? Thinking we can correlate proper early maintenance with oil pump life..

Mine has no maintenance record of oil pump or balance shaft being replaced.

I am the 4th owner. But i have been pretty meticulous about oil changes.

Every 5k miles with Rotella T6.

Stage 2 since 145k from the previous owner. I've had the car since 148k.

No issues other than leaks etc from old age. But i replace everything faulty is they come up.

About to hit 140K mi. Second owner, 2007 sedan MT, bought it in 2009 with 37K, APR Stage 2 since 40K, the usual:

- Cam follower every 25K mi, never found an issue but I keep checking.
- Coolant flange x 1
- Vacuum pump seals x 1
- Turbo wastegate Home Depot springs (look it up) best fix EVER.
- BSH PCV block off + catch can
- GFB DV+ piston DV
- Motor mounts street density
- Cat delete + cat back
- T-belt, water pump, carbon clean, injectors clean, T-stat at 110K.
- AC fan replaced (was dead) at 110K
- Mobil-1 0-40 every 5K mi religiously.
- Buncha sensors here and there.
- Throw out bearing going out, due for clutch anyways.
- Saggy headliner, living with it x now.

All done by yours truly.

My daily for 10 yrs, still love it, paint is flaking here and there. She’s showing her age but still love her. Til the wheels fall off.

I’m at 65k bought it January of 2015 with 44k from the second owner. Only problems I’ve had was a bad valve cover and fuel pump relay.

2nd owner purchased at 57,332 km (2010)

6062 km on fully built engine. (2016)

134062 km on drivetrain and body. Has only seen 10,000 km of winter on the back of flatbed. (2014)

Manual is filled with maintenance records, upgrades spec’d inside last pages too. cars also never sat while in storage on tires. It’s always been lifted onto stands as to not stress suspension components and tires.

Sorry man! What happened?

Oil pump failed. All good though. Car has a 40k mile motor that replaced it. Time to increase that mileage counter some more lol

why is it a boat goes by how many hours and a car by how many miles. i think they should include how long the car engine is running because these days all i see is cars sitting at red lights. i feel like its on purpose for the used car market. how many miles is actually "highway"

Fun fact: when something is in transit by ship, they call it 'cargo', when it is by 'car', they call it shipping.

1. Are these placed on top of or next to your own mothers panties?
2. Do you enjoy your crack pipe smelling like a ***T like your mothers?

I’ve got 94k on my 2006 A4 6spd. Got it as my first car at around 83k miles. I’ve put about 10k on it in the first year I had it

2nd owner 2006 b7, trip transmission. Bought in 2009 with 36k. New engine in 2010 at 65k due to cam shaft failure... Probably loss of oil and vacuum pump seizure. Anyway, at 187k now and going great after fully refreshed suspension, engine and transmission mounts, timing belt/water pump, new coolant flange and hoses, new vacuum pump, cam follower replaced at 150k and again at 187k (no dmg or wearing, but had to remove hpfp for other work so replaced cam anyway), new steering rack (S4 upgrade), new front wheel bearings and hubs. All done in last 30k miles or so by myself save for timing belt/water pump job. No way I could afford to keep the car if I paid someone else or the dealer. Love how it drives still...it's my DD. Until growing family demands a minivan. 😁
