So I decided to install my own springs, and ran into trouble pretty quickly on my '04 A4 B6. After removing the lower (18mm) shock bolt, I attempted to do the same with the upper control arm bolt (16mm). I got the nut off easy enough, but the blot still wouldn't budge. So I put a breaker on it, and it turned a bit, but very hard. You know the rest of the story. After coming out about 1/4in, it snapped 'cuz stupid here. I have no idea why these bolts (other side too) are so bound up after removing the nut? The DIY's I watched showed them just being impacted out like the bottom shock bolts. How screwed am I, and why are these bolts so stubborn? Nothing I can find in the DIY's Iv'e watched explains it...[facepalm]
