I searched tech and couldn't find a DIY. Did I miss it? Am I too drunk or something? Are there any special tools or procedures or is it straight forward?

There is a DIY for it but I’m glad you were too drunk to find it. It’s the worst brake DIY I’ve ever seen. There’s like 10 unnecessary steps in it.

Enlighten me, master. My shop told me I need special tools. I have since lost major trust with them. It's a piece of cake to do on my other non-audi car.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJOjOZPRwsY helped me, assuming you are asking about front brakes.

I thought you knew cars? If you call brake piston retracting tools, which most cars need today, special tools, then yes, they need special tools. The front pistons can be retracted with big ass pliers but the rears need to be spun in. Pretty standard stuff.
They’re just normal German car brakes bud. If you’ve done one you can figure it out. If not, YouTube has you covered.
