View Full Version : Weird Problems today

I get in the car today to leave work and I get a Adaptive headlight fault message. Then I noticed my CENTER screen did not pop out. I tried the button for it and nothing. I reach to the buttons in the center console, menu, nav, tel, back etc and none of them work. Also, my radar detector that is connected with mirror tap in the center has no power.
I searched for keywords and nothing popped up.
Any ideas?
It's a 2018 S6 P+ with only 5k miles

Not sure but I would start checking fuses referencing the owners manual. If u have a multimeter and now how to use it would make it much easier. Or u could physically chk them. Only pull out the fuses that power the affected circuits. Ie radio , rear view mirror mmi

Have you checked the battery condition?I have not. I'm assuming it's good, fires right up and the car is only 5 months old

Did your AC work?
Was the dash blacked out (nothing displayed between the tach and speedometer)?

Was the dash blacked out (nothing displayed between the tach and speedometer)?Ac worked, thank God, 93 degrees today. Dash everything works. Just the pop out screen does not come out and none of the buttons in center console light up or work. And I was able to play music through bluetooth, couldnt control volume or skip songs.

These are the codes I pulled today. I'm guessing where I tapped for radar power at camera on windshield something came loose and shorted out. So I fixed it today. Incase anyone else runs into the same issue. The 2 wires for the mirror tap fused together shorting out the circuit. Repaired the wires, install new fuse and everything is working again.
