Custom exhaust vs aftermarket $ options

Have a 2015 RS7 which is a DD looking to upgrade the exhaust. Will be running a stage 1 tune in future as well. I have heard a couple custom made exhausts that sound pretty damn good but hard to beat the quality and consistency of armytrix and milltek exhaust systems. Are they worth the price tag though?

Let me know your thoughts and recommendations.

I have Milltek turbo back, non resonated. The only thing I wish I could change was the DP's I'd go with the Mike's. Its very loud(with valves open) but, I have no drone at all. To me, that makes it worth the $$.

Not a RS7, but an option nonetheless. I deleted my rear mufflers, added tips and left the rest stock. The FauxPro makes it sound louder than what it actually is, but zero drone. I love it, not too loud but definitely louder than stock. Easily worth the $140 to delete mufflers plus $120 for tips which you wouldn't need.

I think the camera skews the volume of the exhaust, especially after listening to the video from inside the car. It's definitely not as loud. I'm sure exterior of vehicle isn't as loud either.

Yea the aftermarket options are definitely set in stone of the pure quality, but those price ranges on them are a bit ridiculous considering just a custom exhaust

Yessir! She sounds good and that’s my exact point of $300 custom exhaust compared to $3000-$5000 aftermarket. Have a absolute great sound for a few thousands less.

Couldnt resist the quality and consistency with the Armytrix system. Will post vids once installed in upcoming weeks!!
