16’ S7 and I’m not sure which one to get. I just want my car to burble a lot more I have the stock exhaust now everything I’m hearing is saying go touring because it’s not crazy loud and no drone really. But then the price difference is 500$ less on the track but id rather pay more for something I’m gonna love. Any ideas? I just want some more noise and for the burble to be apparent

Track for the win!
I get compliments everywhere I go about my exhaust, it’s a game changer

You can go for the track, and if you hate it AWE offers an upgrade path to the touring....

I have the track w/ APR downpipes and I love it. I’m about ~700 miles in and the hwy drone is toned down quite a bit.
I figured I could aways upgrade to in the future if it’s ever too much - the way it sounds not sure that’d I’d ever see that happening.

Well I’m seeing everybody goes for the track. I’m guessing the drone is simply not that bad?

You’re going about this wrong then. If you want more burble do a res delete. Bam done and you just saved a few thousand

Nah I’d like more sound too but nothing over the top that’s why I’m thinking to do just touring🤷🏾*♂️

I am also about 1k in and I feel that the drone has quieted down some. Honestly the roar of that thing is well worth any drone you hear.

Rear Muffler delete with Res delete. Done and done. It’s loud but not over the top and it’s a few hundred compared to a few thousand

I have front res delete, x-pipe replacing the centre suitcase, and free flowing rear mufflers.
I left the valve on one side, and deleted from the other.
Pussy cat around town. Stick it in Dynamic, with gearbox in sports mode, and it roars when you need it to, with reasonable pops and bangs (C7.5)
Total cost was about £500 ($700 ish) though most of that was for carbon tips [:D]
I had the AWE on my A7 3.0, and would have chosen that but a) Expensive in UK. b) No local distributors.

Always Track Edition, they sound amazing when accelerating and is barely noticeable around town.

I had the same dilemma and went with the Touring, super happy with the final result...if i want it louder can put in S mode or simply do the conversion from AWE. I drive with the kids often and can’t imagine doing 20km/h with an exhaust screaming...not on the 7! If it was a 3 or 8 maybe track /non-res.

Check out the Borla system. Has better tips and just as loud as track with no drone.

Does anyone in NJ have a Track or Touring exhaust on their S6 or S7 that I can hear? I've reached out to AWE in the past and they didn't have any vehicles around to audition. I had a Touring on my S5 (4.2L V8) and loved it. I've been itching for a throatier sound after hearing my coworker's Charger Scat Pack a couple weeks ago. I miss that sound, but still want the car to be refined enough during normal driving,

didnt read all the commnets, but IMO track. track itself is NOT that loud, so i can imagine how quiet touring is. BUT i also had the miltek, and while the miltek non res was quiet as hell to me, it had a lot more burble when letting off the gas vs the AWE.

I've deleted the resonators (replaced w/ X pipe) and removed the suitcase muffler. We live in the same town so you're more than welcome to swing by to hear /drive it to compare vs stock.
Take a video?

I did that before I went with the AWE Touring. The factory exhaust with deletes was definitely louder and raspier, but the touring is much deeper and more subtle. I also had the sport mufflers as well so that may have made a difference. I am actually considering purchasing the touring to track conversion to see which one I like better. Switching is just a matter of swapping pipes and tips at that point.

Can you take a video of your touring exhaust?
