So i've popped 3 different coils(all Bosch) in a span of days on cylinder 4. after doing some research and checking, the connectors are broken so the coils don't sit right. Anyhow, i bought new coil connectors from FCP Euro and was able to break off the old connector clean, so all 4 pins were intact. However, i noticed that the pins do not go through into the new connector all the way, and it doesn't connect well to the coil.

After looking deeping, the part # of my old coil pack connectors is different from the new ones:

old coil pack connectors: 480-973-724
new ones from FCP Euro: 8K0-973-724

Attached some pics for further clarification.

What do you guys recommend that i do? I was trying to avoid having to re-pin the connector wires.

When you inserted the pins, was the purple lock slide out the side of the housing and reinserted afterwards?

You need to get the right connector, the orifice holes inside are different sizes. The OEMs from audi are pricey, I paid $29 each at dealer.... ecs tunning has some for less.

Yes sir, I did remove the purple pin. Didn't bother reinserting because it was very obvious that the pin wasn't going to fit- as it's too large and the wrong connector part.

Ahh that makes sense. And fcp just confirmed that they indeed sent me the wrong part, and linked to the right one(which is way more expensive as you confirmed). Thanks man!
