Hi, I'm new here..

I got a Audi A4 2.0 from 2003 (B6), it needs a bit of work..
The tyres of this car wear in a weird way (center of the tyre is good, both side edges look like it's quite worn), I did a bit of a check, and it turns out I have a postive camber, right side not to much, about 2 to 3 mm between bottom and the top of the wheel, the other side about 6 mm.

I'd like to adjust the camber, but I can't find how to.. Is it posible to adjust the camber on this model?

I also checked the toe, it has a slight toe in, usually with a front wheel drive, you want a bit of toe out, but to compensate for positive camber you want a bit less toe out.

Wheel alignment places here don't do a good job, with a car I had in the past I did it myself, but I could adjust the camber with shims, this made a lot of difference when I had that car aligned..

The Audi handles very good I must say, with how it's aligned at the moment, but with the steering at full lock I have the impression the tyres wear real bad, it doen't feel right.. And if I look at the wear patern on the front tyres it looks like there's something off...

Anyone who can give my some ideas what to do?

Thanks :)

Both sides worn could be low tyre pressure.

You can adjust be not to much, by:
1. moving the bolts from the top strut mount.
2. moving the subframe.

You might want to check the ball joints and bushings for play, specially on the top side, since the camber is positive.

Was the car involved in any accident?

Thanks for your reply.

Nah, it's different than that, I think.. On the other hand, the pressure must have been really low..

So you can adjust it with the clearence in the bolt holes?
Ball joints are ok, the rubber bushes in the lower back control arms seem te be a bit soft..

I'm quite sure the car hasn't been in an accident

Yes, top mount bolts and subframe. Adjustment will be very very small, but it can help.
