Lots of threads on this. I got the AWE V2 as well because I do a lot of city driving and the heat soak from the SRM hot intake would be a no go for that. SRM does put out a lot more power but you can fix that with getting the SRM intlet pipes made and still have a cold air intake like the AWE.

ive got the SRM.

had issues with installing. i feel their quality control is not up to par with how much $$ they are charging. With that said, i am very happy with it. The noise it makes and the engineering into the wider inlets makes it more desirable than AWE to me

I know the AWE V2 was supposed to have resolved the power loss issue, but it is still restrictive since airflow is limited at the turbo inlets. if power is your focus, get SRM. if looks are more important, stick with AWE V2.....carbon is way better than SRM tubes and open filter.

Like I said, he can get the short pipes to fix the area which is most restricted. That's what I plan on doing. Just hard to stomach $700+ on parts that don't fit perfectly.
