Lately I have this weird issue with my '18 S6. Sometimes I get in the car, bluetooth connects, phone is linked, music just starts playing. But, almost every other time, phone doesnt automatically connect, I try to reconnect through bluetooth setting and the MMI display says "phone not found" also, the phone cant find the car.

I can turn the car off back on and sometimes automatically connects. It is driving me insane! If I open bluetooth settings in my phone when it does connect to the car, it is NOT in the paired devices list, it just says connected device by itself on a different list.

I really hope this is a reset of something or changing a setting.

Phone is a Galaxy S10

Thank you guys

https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/840935-Phone-connectivityI don't have those symptoms but I am still going to try all of those suggestions. Thank you for sharing the link, I appreciate it. How do I update the MMI? Update option in settings?

The MMI update might be a dealer thing

Have you tried rebooting the phone? Sometimes it is the silly things.

If you have done all the basics like resetting Bluetooth on the phone and the car and nothing has worked then have the dealer update MMI.

You can also reset MMI.

I did all of these things and still had the issue but was eventually resolved by an MMI update.

I did all the resets I can do and tried re-pairing bluetooth but it didnt work. Times it does connect car still asks me if pin number matches, allow messages, allow contact etc. Strange!

I may end up going to the dealer, just would hate it to be something simple and the tech makes a meme out of me [emoji23][emoji23]

Why wouldn’t you use carplay though? Bluetooth is so compressed and sounds terrible for music. Just curious

Will CarPlay work for making phone calls? OP was having issues with Bluetooth phone calling problems sounded like.

I do use Android Auto and everything works great but phone calls and times I dont plug the phone in and just want music to play, that's when the problem starts.
