Guys,
How many miles are you supposed to get out of the stock 255/35/r20 Pirelli’s?
I’m at 16K and have burned them up (at least in the front) probably didn’t rotate frequently enough.
Any other performance tires you like out there?
Thanks!

That's about right for the Pirelli's. A better performance tire is the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.

seems all OEM tires on this car wear out fast. my stock continentals (275/30/21) wore out in about 11k miles. treads were starting to chunk. never raced. alignment was checked and verified to be good.

I hate my 275/30/21 P-Zeros with a passion. They're extremely noisy for being "engineered" to be quiet tires. They stick awesome in the dry weather, but I absolutely hate driving on them in the rain. This is my first AWD vehicle and is NOT confidence inspiring when it's wet out. I could drive faster in previous RWD vehicles like the '00 Trans Ams, '05 GTO, '08 TBSS, '04 Corvette, '10 Raptor.

I had Michelin Pilot 4S on my previous car, 2015 Mustang 5.0, and I loved them. Plan on getting them on my S6 once the Pirelli's wear out.
I also had Pirelli's on my 2011 Mustang as well, and I hated them. Very noisy, not very good traction, lateral or acceleration.

I had the Pirelli, PSS, and now fire hawk indy 500. For the money the fire hawks are 95% of the PSS but 50% less money. Very happy with the set.
Roughly 20k miles per set of semi aggressive driving.

The Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT's that came on my RS6 seem to be as good/quiet as the Michelin PSS's I put on my S6. I don't know how they compare price wise.
Mine were half worn at 13k miles then I bent a rim and decided to get new rims with PSS. Much better than the Pirelli's

I'm not surprised at the short life of the stock/OE tires....... My conti's on my S4 were shot around the 15K mile mark!! They still had some tread but were beyond noisy (worse than the Toyo Open Country Extremes on my Hummer H2 at the time in size 35x12.5x20). I went to Michelin PSS and it was a night/day difference. Put around 20K miles on the PSS's and they still looked like new when I traded my car in

I have continental control contact all season 19s on my A7. I have about 23,000 miles on them and still have about 8/32nds tread left on them. I am expecting them to last about 70k at current wear

Unfortunately ties with that sort of wear are usually like slicks in the wet. The gripiest tires I ever had were a set of Toyo's, but they wore out in the shortest time of any tires I have ever owned.

I went PZero -> MPS-4S about 2k miles ago, much better, especially in wet conditions. Quieter too.
Pzero's were good for ~18K (80% highway).

My better half works in upper management at Bridgestone (Firestone), so I get a ridiculous deal on tires. I have Potenza S-04s on my car at the moment and they are loud out of the box. Good to hear someone likes the Indy500. I almost got those based on recommendation from the local rep. I was too stuck up to do it, but will next time.

Anyone running 255/40/r20's of any type?
I have 2 free Bridgestones Potenza RE-71R's my buddy will give me so I only need to buy 2 more but would like some input if anyone has any.
Thanks!
