Hey guys, just had the valve cover gasket replaced as it was leaking from all around. Got the car back last Friday and noticing this leak now. Think it could be as simple as the oil filler cap or is it the timing cover gasket (is there even oil in there)? PCV looks good still, and the car has 90k.

Is the oil cap screwed in tight?

Isn’t there an O ring around the cap itself? Or pcv isn’t working properly, pressurizing the crank case in return pushing oil out the oil cap

Yes it was tight, I will try cleaning around the gasket it does feel like there might be a little crud or when twisting it, apparently autozone sells a cheap replacement gasket for the filler cap so I might try that as well.

Have you ever replaced PCV? If you are seeing oil leaks from weak areas, it's possible the PCV isn't working properly.

Just start it and hold your hand over the oil filler opening. If you feel vacuum pcv is working. If you feel pressure it isn’t
