That is a strong run.
What Octane file are you using?
And what fuel?

I thought APR say stage 2 is about 600hp/700ftlb’s?

I thought APR say stage 2 is about 600hp/700ftlb’s?If there's a 22% loss to the wheels, it's about 600hp.

check their website. torque looks good, HP seems low?

When i first saw this thread last night i was thinking like others that these stage2 dyno number look low. I get that this is a Mustang dyno but I'd expect close to 500 wheel hp out of a stage2 tune on 93 octane. Going by what APR advertises.

Torque seems to be in line with APR estimates, but HP seems low.

EDIT: Just realized this is a C7 not a C7.5. That would explain lower numbers.

No 2 cars will have the same HP drivetrain loss. 17-25% loss seems to be the range for an AWD car. The perceived power loss could even be a discrepancy in the dyno calibration. Without pulling the motor and testing power at the flywheel it’s all just an educated and calculated guess.

That would mean his TQ would be under 500ft lb if you took 20% off or about 750 if you add 20%. So either way you look at it these numbers seem off. Like you say though if everyone is using different calculations that could be where the difference is.

I think it’s funny that he blurs out his plate but leaves his personal info on the dyno sheet.

I've always thought straight dyno numbers are not real useful. You need a stock baseline run first in order to see what the gains are on that particular dyno on that particular day with that particular car.

Looking back I would have given the car a couple hours to cool down after the almost 2 hour drive. I also didn't calculate the DA like I should have.

Dyno numbers mean nothing, especially without any sort of baseline for comparison! Real world acceleration performance tells the story. I love watching guys with their big dyno graphs get trounced at the track. Save those “low reading” graphs and go make some money at the track!

A friend with APR Stage 2+ on 100 file with A6 (C7) made 491hp and 445tq on Mustang Dyno over the weekend... expected more but seems to be in-line with real world dyno...

I love how no one is bashing Apr but if this was epl people would be going to town on them. 😂

What is there to bash though?

I dyno a little lower than that on 100.. dynos don’t tell the whole truth.
But I did a 93 then 100 file switch to see how much gain there was on the 100map, not for a HP dick swinging contest.
APR is pretty accurate about their gains. You’ll need a baseline though.
