I am going to be replacing the serpentine belt on my 2014 A7 TDI and was wondering if anyone had a decent DIY or source I can refer to before diving into this?

I believe you can get a 1-day subscription to Audi erWin Online (https://erwin.audiusa.com/erwin/showHome.do), and download or save off all the service information you would like (provided your internet speed is capable enough).

I do suggest getting a good serpentine belt tool if you don't have one. Saved my bacon when I was doing my allroad (plus after the PS pump failed and I needed to replace it). Makes pulling off the belt a lot easier with the extra leverage, and they are thin enough to fit into tight areas.

I know this is gonna sound like an ass but when it needs it. There should be a message in the maintenance interval on when to check it. Some will say after xx,xxx mikes it needs to be replaced. The car manufacturers used to say every 60-80,000 miles. I have always went with a visual inspection as a rule for when to change it. With age you will start to see cracks in the ribs. Just because it’s starting to crack still does not mean time to change. The belt is not really warn out until you have a crack in all the ribs basically in a straight line completely across the belt. My last car went almost 150,000 miles before I changed the belt but it still had no cracks in it. I just decided it had been on the vehicle long enough for my comfort level with it. I probably could have gotten many more miles out of it.
