I had a friends shop scan my S6 with his Rosstech scanner while it was there for brakes and he found a code I'm a little worried about. It said something along the lines of "RPM over manufacturer's limit of 7k. Manufacturer's warranty void." He cleared them out, but we werent sure if the dealership would be able to still see it or not. I do have a transmission tune from APR, so Im assuming that how I got an over-rev. Im also not sure if once I flash the TCU back to stock, if that history will be cleared. Anyone have any idea? Please dont give your tune bias opinions here. Im asking for input from experience.

the warranty void statement is just a "joke" programmed in by Ross-tech's reporting system
the over-rev code can be cleared, just as you did.
with that said, Audi can access the extents that the powertrain has been driven. boost level, RPM, speed, etc.. Max values for these are stored in the ECU. voiding of the warranty would be Audi's decision, depending on how they feel the car may have been abused. a rev to 10k may be handled differently than a rev to 8k.
