crooked pinch bolt

While doing some work in the wheel well I noticed that the pinch bolt was crooked. I thought it may have just been the angle so I tried taking the nut off and rotating the pinch bolt in place and sure enough it was crooked. It is subtle but i drew a line to show what I see when i'm up close. It might be slightly exaggerated to show the gist of what i'm refering to. The head of the bolt and the nut sit flush the way its installed right now but if i ever had to replace the pinch bolt with a new one thats straight, wouldnt that cause the ends to cant as i'm tightening the pinch bolt down? Anyone ever experience this? I'm thinking this is residual damage from when I had an accident last year that smashed the wheel off the spokes and into the well.
