i think you answered this yourself by stating that "ECS has some". There isn't much to replacing the pipe since you already have the APR Open Air Intake. APR has the "Stage 2", which is the pipe. I'm not sure what else you're looking for.

Either ECS or 034. Really any silicone intake tube will be the same as any other.

I just wanted to see if anybody was doing something different before purchasing an ECS one. not that i think they have bad products.

I really like my awe intake tube with the awe filter. Not loud but has the whine

Understood, there isn't much difference to the sound the tub will make, only slightly IMO. The SC whine that I have is quite loud due to the ROC Euro and Ultra Charger. There are a few tubes on the market as stated (APR/AWE/)34/etc). I'm not sure I've come across any "one-offs" that have a custom tube with the APR Open Air Intake.

I have the ECS carbon pipe. It’s sexy. Mounted up to the luft open air intake. Car sounds like an R/C car when I step on the gas.

Yes. Just a hint of whine, it's perfect. I had an open intake prior and it was too much.

I'm sorry but that is absolutely wrong. The stock intake tube has a built in muffler that reduces the sound of the supercharger whine.

I have the ECS CF tube and it alone made the supercharger a lot louder. Yes I have ported the stock airbox, but that made little to no difference compared to the tube alone.

If you put silicone type of tube, the sound will be unchanged compare to OEM. However, if you put a metal type of tube. it will be louder.

Well that's not true. There is a definite increase in whine when going to a silicone tube from the muffled stock tube. It's not Roc Euro obnoxious, but a nice, subtle increase.

Confirmed. I would not want much more whine than my silicone tube and aFe filter.

My exact combo. I think it's perfect.

I did say that it was only my opinion. I didn't have the same results that you have shown.

I originally purchased the ECS Carbon Fiber inlet tube but I didn’t get enough SC noise from that paired with the stock airbox. I didn’t want to port (cut holes) in the stock airbox in case I ever want to sell the car, or the airbox. So I then installed the Integrated Engineering Open Intake. The IE intake sounds great but I didn’t like the silicone tube it came with. So I purchased a silicone coupler and used the ECS Carbon inlet. The combination of the 2 looks and sounds great. In my opinion anyway. As others have said the stock inlet does have a resonator that will cancel out the SC tone. Any smooth inlet tube, silicone, CF or metal will work as long as the dimensions fit your setup.

thanks for the advice not the first time i’ve seen that resonators comment. didn’t know how true it was. i’m convinced on getting that carbon tube, i love the supercharger whine!

I think I have the carbon piece laying around, I'll check my "inventory of parts" and let you know. I'll absolutely let that go if you're interested.

Edit: The carbon piece I have is for the Ultra-Charger that I didn't use. (Roc-Euro Installed with UC). But, if anyone is interested in that, I have it.
