So my car has been making a clicking noise from the driver side front wheel for a long time now. Only when turning left at slow speeds..Pretty sure it started after installing my coilovers so maybe its possible something isn't tight? Both CV boots are in great shape.. Anyone else ever had this issue?

Did you replace the bump stops when you put on the coils ? Most setups come with them but some don’t. Mine are crumbling and I have the same sound. Replacing them next week when I put my coilovers on.

Yes the coils came with new bump stops all around..

As usual, my diagnosis of weird car noises is wrong.

Sounds like maybe an upper ball joint

Please update this thread when you get an idea of what is causing this. I have the same issue that started recently. The sound is coming from the left, front of the car. It sounds like a metal on metal "click" when you turn the wheel.

Check tie rods, I had clicking sound from low speed turns from front right wheel area, my shop replaced them, took care of the noise.

I have a similar noise, only when cold. No suspension mods, under 30k miles.

Is it this noise? If so it was my front axles, I replaced both with product from Raxles and it has been perfect since.

Mine isn't that.

My issue was wheel bearings when this happened with my car. A replacement fixed the issue and it hasn't returned in 5 years.

Check lower control arm bushings.

Does it only click once? and when you straighten it up it doesn't seem to happen at the same place? but then when you turn the wheel back it happens again?

Had this issue with lower front control arms being worn, replaced them and still had the issue.... turns out I didn't torque down the bolts to spec, tightening to "grunt noise level" isn't sufficient. ...and replace the bolts also.

I've also heard of Alu Kruezs causing a similar issue from them being installed while the suspension was compressed.

ANOTHER THOUGHT: How to rule out your control arms...

Loosen the bolts for all the lowers, and see if you still have the noise.

So I have a similar noise, it's a softened clunking at low speeds over certain bumps but not all. It used to be quite bad until I replaced my shot dampers with Bilstein B8's this past weekend (I'm lowered on H&R sports). I thought for sure that would resolve it - and it had for a bit - but after a few days of driving I can hear and feel it's still there, just not as pronounced.

All my bushings are in good shape, the half-shaft boots are intact (didn't pull them back to take a look at the joint)...

It's independent of steering angle, and it's driving me nuts.

I had a similar problem after some suspension work where I got my upper control arm bushings replaced. Check the subframe bolts, as if they arent torqued under full load they can loosen over time and cause that sound. This is just speculation however, and an unidentified "clicking" could really be alot of things within your suspension.

It actually does sound like that.. ugh i'm hoping something is just lose though or bad control arms/tie rods. [=(]

I had clicking noise in low speed near full turn to full turn either direction at 50k ish miles - I normally heard it when I was parking in an indoor garage. It ended up being failing upper control arm bushings due to lowered suspension.

Noise went away as soon as upper control arms were replaced with SPC's.
