Oxygen Sensor

I got a CEL regarding the Bank2 Sensor 1 oxygen sensor. I assume this is for the driver side upstream sensor. Is it recommend to replace both upstream sensors at the same time or i can just replace the defective one? Also, I heard OEM but not genuine sensor may have a different plug so i would need to use some kind of adapter to fit it. If you've used an OEM (but not genuine) sensor please let me know what you used and whether it's a direct fit.
