First off? Congratulations! Second? What's the mileage/options?

Thanks! It's a base 6MT with nav and leather. No sport diff sadly. Has around 235k kms on it so like 140ish miles. Original clutch too.

If it was a DSG with that mileage, there is no doubt in my mind that I would've avoided it like the plague...but as it's a 6MT, this is quite nice - considering what you got it for. [:)] Original clutch also? Score! [up] You mentioned that you had a B8 back in the early days of the chassis as well; was it an S4, too? Or "A" model, like your wife's C6?

It was a Brilliant Red 6MT S4 with nav & sport diff. I had a milltek and Apr carbonios on it and drove it across Canada a couple times.

Beautiful spec, man. The fact that you were the original owner of one back in the day is so awesome! Nationwide, I've only seen a few for sale with that colour/option combination over the last several years when searching for my B8. Congratulations on your recent purchase, again - and I look forward to seeing you sharing your progress with it! [drive]

Great deal! There is one for sale cheap in MN. Thought it might make a good second car/track car/parts car.

Cheapskate! J/K .These are great cars and remarkably reliable even with higher mileage(kilometerage?) Have fun and enjoy the car. Expect to put in a clutch at some time plus some other things.

I'm glad you joined in on the conversation, Dr GP! [:)] Was your red B8 S4 the same spec as the OP's was in post #5 (aside from the modifications)? If so, you two were lucky ducks! [drool]

I did the same thing as you but with a $4500 335i Sedan.
FMIC, Tune and 95 octane, It was heads up with a C63AMG. 12.9@109mph @ TMP
I'm looking into the B8 platform. It seems the go fast stuff is coming down in price. Supercharge response feels better than turbo lag.
Congrats on the B8 S4.

I am more interested in the highlighted word. Is this what it's referred to over the border?? Or is it kilomage? [:)]

Kilometrage is sometimes said in jest, as above but you'll get the majority of people asking one of the 3:
1- "what's the mileage?"
2- "how many kilometers she done?"
3-"how many clicks on her?"

It's neither kilometerage nor kilomage, actually. The word that would be used is "kilométrage" (French), but "mileage" is so universally known as distance-traveled...that we don't bother specifying and just stick with using the word "mileage" when referring to what shows on a cars odometer. [drive]
EDIT: As I was typing the above, the OP responded with pretty much the same thing. [:D]

Thank you sir, always happy to learn something new. Strikes me as odd though as everyone except the US adopted the metric system yet it still goes by "mileage"

Be thankful that's one of the few things we've adopted from "you", as you still reign supreme with your temperature terminology (Fahrenheit) and measurement of milk/gasoline (gallons). [:D]
