Anyone have any ideas what could have happened to this pad & rotor. They were installed about two months ago and properly broken in. I noticed this scoring at the end of a day at the track last weekend. This is the Driver's rear on B8.5 S4. They are Stop Tech Performance Pads with Drilled/Slotted rotors.

Looks like you got a small rock trapped at the chamfer on the pad leading into the pad/rotor interface. The rock chipped away until it was small enough to get into the gap and then did the damage to the pad surface

Rock got in there and cut the pad up? Only thing I can think of.
