Ok,
Pre-story: 2.7T MANual, APr bipipe, apr chip....
i look under the car lately to check how easy to modify our exhaust system....i saw that exhaust is not one piece piping, it has flanges, and it looks like this:

so i thought, what if i could weld straight piping right after center mufflers to the end? in that case i can keep my stock system and have race system for fun/track/drag....or should i put some mufflers at the end of straight piping to reduce the noise?
anybody has any idea how loud its gonna be w/o cats and muffler?
any input welcome, just dont type bs...[up]

I was wondering if anyone did a custom exhaust on A6 2.7t too; not like APR or AWE or Miltek ...

I hear the Miltek exhaust really rocks on our engine, especially with the Chip... can't wait!

There's guys out there already doing the straight pipes back from the center muffler. I forget who? The B5 S4 guys are doing this.

MIltek is 1200 I think! i got to save up for it ! :(

Wonder how hard it is to do the straight pipes? Benefit?

see, vastperfomance has piggie pipes for 2.7T's, so maybe get those and run straight pipes from there to the end and a nice muffler?
