Hi,
I have retrofitted MIB2 unit x021 with DAB and SIM slot. Unit also has activated Google Maps and Audi Smartphone Interface, but I have AMI connector in armrest instead of pair of USB and AUX.
Is possible to keep AMI connector with USB adapter and working that Smartphone Interface, or is neccessary to replace AMI connector with that unit with USB and AUX connectors? I have AMI connector from 3G+ (cable with green and yellow connector and with AMI on the other side). I want to use Android auto or Carplay, but sometimes I want for example RCA video input.

Which part of the hardware do you need to swap out to get the Mib2, is it just the headunit, or do you need to change more. My RS 7 missed out on the factory setup by just a matter of a few months and I’m keen to go down the oem route, instead of adding an after market carplay module.

'cause I upgraded from RMC so I Changed headunit, display 8", panel with touchpad, some antennas (for dab+, gps, etc..), some cables and Gateway, but I want to keep AMI connector and also use ASI :(
