I have a 2016 A6 3.0t. My CEL has come on a couple times with a PO451 code (EVAP System). The CEL seems to come on roughly after every time I fill up, stays on for a couple days, and then shuts off. Before the CEL came on the first time, I noticed one morning that it was difficult to fill-up; gas would fill the filler neck, shutting the pump off every 3 seconds. I have been having to slow down the pump in order to be able to fill the tank fully, without it shutting off the nozzle every 3 seconds. I have read some things about older A6's having a problem with the rollover sensor on top of the gas tank, which has similar symptoms, but that looks like a $2-3k job I'd rather avoid [o_o]
I pulled the code at my local Auto parts store, but will check it with VAGCOM with a buddy of mine tomorrow to see if it tells us anything else. I also found the aforementioned TSB's which pretty much describe my exact scenario. Does anyone know how I can get the 'Repair Instructions' for these specific TSB's?
I'm sure I could call the Dealership, or my local Indy shop, but just trying to solve it without spending a bunch of $$ first. Appreciate the help!
