Wow, looks like it has a RS4(?) spoiler too.
Someone drive a similar Avant (but 2.8) to work. But his is nowhere near as nice as yours.

The spoiler was made by MS Design in Austria
I have to repaint it and the front bumper. But I’m so exited it has this little spoiler!

The felt inserts in my new brilliant yellow avant were disgusting from the years of use, so off the scrapyard, and I picked up some of the preferred rubber inserts. I grabbed the cup holder insert out of a b6 and trimmed it to fit behind the cigarette lighter (until i find another b5 larger piece to cut to size), and I am going to cut the cupholder insert later tonight. Its the little things that make me happy.

Winter mats due to arrive tomorrow. Once the weather gets back to spring, the seats will come out it this, and the gold avant so the carpets can get steam cleaned.

I wish my Brilliant Yellow still looked that good. Will look better when that pinstripe is gone.

Well I was trying to be easy, but since you asked, the interior is really dirty, look at it! Your door jambs are disgusting too, and this is after a "wash" lol

Hmm not sure I said I washed it. Pretty sure I said a little cleaning.
I drove 10 hours thru a snowstorm before I got home and snapped pics.
Sorry it does not meet your standard. Please feel free to ignore me and my posts as I am sure they won’t meet your standards going forward.

My misunderstanding, usually a cleaning is a wash, my bad, I thought the words were interchangeable. I tried to give you a compliment on the find, and you get upset because I called it a "little dirty".
This has nothing to do with "my standard", if the interior is dirty, the interior is dirty! Do you think the inside of your car is clean?

Grabbed a few sets of rubber from the scrapyard. I always hated the felt liners for the cupholders/storage in these cars so I was lucky to find a b5 that had the long rubber insert, along with the empty storage rubber. I like having the cupholders so I cut it to fit the cupholder tray, and grabbed a similar enough rubber liner from a b6, and cut that to fit behind the cigarette lighter

Changed out the disgusting cabin air filter, and steam cleaned my vent system. Hopefully this gets

Picked up a set of b6 passat wiper arms as the arms that came on this car stuck up way too high. theyre different than my early 99 a4 arms, so I imagine they were replaced at some point in time. We have a snowstorm coming in today so I had to get this done.

Well its been an interesting month of ownership. Idaho uses salt, and or de-icing material from what I can tell, and man the underside of the car has that layer of rust and corrosion that makes bolts break and things a pain in the ass
Things I have noted need fixing:
Downpipe flex line leaking (new downpipe is in my garage)
Rear humming above 50mph (replaced both rear wheel bearings, problem fixed! Although more problems added)
Rear calipers are sticky, and need to be replaced
Hazard/Switch/Cupholder trim piece is all banged up (replaced with a used unit)
Front rotors were not vented anymore as the vents were full of dirt. I replaced them with some Brembo rotors and EBC Red Pads I had kicking around
Front speakers are shot
Rear tie rods need to be replaced
Rear sway bar links need to be replaced
Weird low RPM rattle in the front end. Sounds like a heat shield of sorts.
Needs a new cargo cover eventually
Both front and rear glass have scratches in them from the wipers and what I assume was dirt on the window. Sigh. Couldnt polish them out. I will have a glass company come to fix this. Very noticeable.
Multi Function Display will have to be replaced
I grabbed two rear spindles from a parts car at the yard. Pressed in new bearings, and cleaned those up. The ones on the car had completely seized eccentric bolts and ABS sensors. Also noticed the rear calipers were sticky and inconsistent, so I will be swapping them out for some rebuilt ones, along with new hangers and hardware. When doing all this, both sway bar links were really sloppy and both tie rod ends had way too much play in them, so theyll be replaced next week and the car dropped off for an alignment.
Things I have done
Later passat wiper arms installed
Neused rear spindles with new bearings installed
Hazard trim piece replaced
Front rotors and pads replaced
Oil changed

amazing how a car can hide things from you until you start getting underneath and looking closely. I look at lots of used cars and i've come to the conclusion that if it has between 150k and 200+ there's just a lot of things that need to be addressed, unless of course someone just went through it all.
how many miles were on it when you picked it up? Just curious.
