So today at 1300 miles I changed the oil for the first time to get the break in oil out. I went with Liqui Moly molygen 5w40 and Audi OEM filter with drain plug.
The oil color looked like it had 10k miles on it but what's worse is the Smell! It smelled like it had a gallon of gasoline mixed in it. Is that normal for these cars or did that happen because it's the first oil change?
Driving after the oil change the car felt so much smoother, now that I know this I'm thinking I should have done this earlier.
On a side note the dealer only inflated the tires to 35 psi, spec is F 46 R 48, car feels much more responsive on the road now although the ride got harsher and more road noise. Once I get the Michelins on, the ride should improve greatly.

35 psi is the recommended cold temp. The 46/48 is the max psi.

Sounds like you got it changed at dealer. What did they charge you for the oil change and filter?

The placard is the max cold pressure. It is not the recommenced cold pressure. Take a look in your owners manual.

I believe the manual references cold temp for normal loads at 44F / 39R on the 255-35R20 tire.

+1 for 20" tire on S6.
For 19" tire, normal pressure is 35lb rear and 39lb front on S6.
The max load on the door jamb is about CYA for lawsuits.

yup me too. so what what psi are people running?

2015 S6 with 20" single rider most of the time. Michelin PSS 255/35-20 42/37 I tried 44/39 and is too much for me over bumps/potholes.
For myself the harder one to figure was winter tires. Audi offers the winter setup for the S6 but does not give pressure specs For the Conti TS830 winters 235/45-19 I tried 42/36 and seems to work well.

I am running 35lbs rear and 39 lbs front on 255/ZR40/19 100Y Michelin AS3+ tires.
I keep the Individual setting mode in Comfort for suspension. I have Eurocode sway bars set to soft.
We have nasty potholes here.

I have the Audi recommended winter set-up (fugly wheels IMO) with the Conti TS830 and I specifically asked my dealer what tire pressures I should be running and they told me to run the same pressure as stated the manual for the original tire set-up. I questioned them as to how the tire pressure could be same since the winter tires are 1 inch taller and 20mm slimmer but they assured me this was Audi's recommendation..
Doesn't sound right to me but that's what I was told.. I run a coupe of psi under the rating in the manual and it seems fine..
