I am looking for a front and rear strut from an allroad for the purposes of test fitting. My working idea is to see if I can fit them to a B7 and ad air ride using all or mostly Audi parts including switches and what not. I dont want to pay a lot to find out it wont work so a broken pair is just fine as this is preliminary proof of concept. Ill gladly pay for shipping and if you are in ohio I am always up for a road trip.

I'd start by looking at pics of the rear suspension on a B7 and then compare that to the C5 allroad air suspension. The C5 rear is a "coilover" setup and the B7 is a separate spring and shock.

Even if one could technically fit the C5 parts (highly unlikely), the upper rear shock mounts on the B7 are not meant to hold the weight of the car only the shock. It would essentially require you to build entirely new structural rear shock mounts.

And additionally if your intentions were to lower the vehicle with this factory air suspension you would quickly find out that the physically long suspension on an allroad when lowered runs out of travel. Even on my allroad with the body spacers removed, that loss of 1 inch of shock travel is too much and I will hit the bump stops on the highway in position 1. I actually have to setup my suspension height settings to raise the car back up that 1" of body spacer that is gone... so its the same height as stock (for now).

feel free to send me the money you just saved :)

You also saved him money when he realizes that leaking allroad airbags are the bane of most allroad owners. I would never base any design around the use of this particular setup in a custom application when there are plenty of aftermarket options that are far more reliable.

well this has saved me time and money so i thank you all. i mostly looking for a way to do an adjustable ride height and make it look factory. so at the very least i want to use the factory switches. this is mostly to clear deep snow that never gets taken care of when im on the roads but also i like the party trick aspect of it. my research continues...
