Hi all! I purchased a 2007 A4 S-Line about a year ago. I got a great deal on it, forced myself to learn to drive a manual, and the car has been pretty kind to me. I got a check engine light a few months ago- P0299:Turbo/Super Charger Underboost. After some consultation, I replaced the Diverter valve to see if anything changed. (It didn't). Then, after consulting some more techs, I decided to buy and install a rebuilt turbo. We couldn't find any issues besides the turbo itself having too much shaft play, so we attributed it to that and moved along. New turbo is now in (and feels better than it did before) but a few days after installing it, the same code decided to make an appearance again. Is there anyone who's had a similar experience or might have any insight as to what my next move is? I just want to get her running like new again. Thank you for your help!

Valve cover cracks, or leaks will cause the underboost code. Even my Pressure regulator valve is bad and throws and underboost code in WOT lol.

May want to check the lines going to the valve cover from crankcase. I know a few people who lately have had similar issue and resulted in cracks on the pcv hoses. I wud do a leak down test and use a spray bottle with soapy water on everything that has air flowing through it.
