Hi guys,
Anybody here had the experience of removing the coolant hose at the bottom of the turbo without removing the turbo itself? It is the "S" hose.

Mine is this one https://www.ecstuning.com/b-rein-parts/turbo-coolant-hose-supply/058121497b~ren/

and not the AWM version which has metal connection at both ends.

Iíve done it....takes fucking long and is a PITA!!!!! Your better off putting it into service position itíll be easier... and once you get in there cut the bracket lol so you wonít have to do it like that again !!!!

Thanks. Any special tool involved to reach that tight spot?

You honestly canít (in a reasonable amount of time) without taking the turbo out. But contrary to popular belief you donít need to put the car in service position to drop the turbo, itís really a pretty quick job.

I think it was just like a 7mm Allen key if I remembered correctly itís been like 6 months since Iíve done it. the special tool youíll need to do it this way is the ability to feel what your doing with your fingers and hands without actually looking with your eyes.... as the guy said tho itís easier to just take the turbo out fully to save time... but for me if I would have put it into service position first it would have take me 3 hours tops instead of 6-7 hours just to get it out it

I have the awm the so ko3s... itís kinda hard to explain but like the coolant line was attached to the turbo via this bracket/and of course the banjo bolt we cut it from that so this way I could remove the turbo from the car without having to remove the line from the block.. this was the hard to reach part it sounds like you mean.... hahaha and oo that bracket.... it was in the way too I didnít even put that back in it was too annoying hahah
