The first thing should be to check Your car's battery - maybe it's dead.

Sounds like a bad battery to me. It happens. I had to replace my battery 2month after I got it new.

is the car completely dead or just not enough power to crank?

does the dash turn on when you turn the key?

its definitely the battery, the key fob isnt locking/unlocking the car, dash lights are dim to none, and it doesnt crank.

If it checks out fine which I don't think it will, take a voltmeter after you get the car running. Set it to DC and measure across the negative and positive with the car running, if you see around 13.8 vdc your alternator is okay and your battery is dead. If not, your alternator is dead.

i took it to interstate, and the battery was shotty, and they replaced it for under warranty.

thanks again!

First put the voltmeter to dc and measure across the positive and negative terminals of the battery, voltage?

Did you check the alternator as described above? If not, jump it and check it. Voltage?

Next step after that would be to disconnect the negative (-) terminal of the battery and use a multimeter set to mA. Put the multimeter leads inbetween the battery negative (-) and the chassis ground wire that would normally be hooked onto the battery with the car off. If you get a draw more than say 50mA ish reading then you have some sort of ghost drain you will have to track down. Let us know what it reads just to verify.

Need to start following some diagnostic steps for us to help. Once you have checked those things I can give you more steps.

DER Kionig, he has a fan running, its obvious he has a short going on. why do those steps when a fan that should be off is continuing to run and kill his battery. treat this guy with some respect, he is going to go in for service to get it fixed. let the experts do all that crap your talking about.

He's asking for help on here so you go through diagnostics...if there was an amperage draw then you 100 percent know you are looking for a short or parasitic drain. If this was followed he wouldve been diagnosing still and not sitting with a dead car again.

Start with easy and move to more complicated. It doesnt sound like the fan was always running in his previous posts unless I'm missing that.

Respect? What?

Also, following these steps earlier wouldve most likely revealed the battery to be fine. Most places cant deal with deeply discharged batteries, especially if it's an AGM. Most places chargers wont charge something under 5ish volts and just read it as dead. There is a specific method to charging back from that low. Have had this issue with parts stores claiming batteries were kaputt when they were perfectly good. Could've saved a trip and a warranty claim.
