Hey guys I was wondering if these seats are the same. I lost the heating function in my b7 seat and I found a b6 at my local junkyard(didn’t check if it had the heating option). Did the b6 come with a heated seat also?

b6 have heated seats but i believe you will get an airbag light if you put them in a b7 unmodified. I think you need to swap over the occupancy sensor, seatbelt wiring, and associated harnesses from your old seats to make things happy.

Ok another question is how much of a pain would it be to take the seats out without power available to move the seats backwards or forwards?

Not possible.
But you can also leave your b7 seat intact and just swap the working heating element from the b6 seat into your b7 seat. That might be easier than swapping the occupancy sensor alog with all the electrical adjusters AND the wiring harnesses.

Not sure where you are in NY, but I have a black B7 drivers seat with heat from my car I am parting out. The seat has some wear and the tear in the usual spot. But the heat and power motors all work.
