Hello, long time reader finally decided to sign up, current purchased a 2008 Audi A4 B7 2.0 FSI, have owned it for about two months and I absolutely love it, however, I do have a slight issue. When I start my car up I will let it warm up some, at least until idle goes back to normal, then I will take off and drive, when coming to a stop my rpms will drop from about 800-900 to 400-500. I read a lot about people who have had a similar problem, but I cant seem to find the solution, so far I have replaced spark plugs, coil packs, PCV, valve cover gasket, as well as cleaning the MAF and the Throttle body, and the usual throttle body alignment. I do have one code come up and its the P2181, my thermostat seems to work fine still, and Im not convinced that is the problem, I also think it could possibly be the idle control valve, tomorrow I will be taking it to the shop to get the transmission fluid checked and flushed, which I believe is needed since Ive been experiencing some rough gear changes and inconsistencies when shifting. Kinda lost and not sure where to investigate further into, sorry its a long thread hope someone can help!
