Quick question,
Oil pump is making noise and probably needs to be replaced, just wondering if anyone knows what pumps are swappable. The part number is 06D103295P, but there are variants that end with a different letter. Wondering if any others are usable as it would expand the avaialabe used parts I can choose from.
Thanks

Any pump from a 2.0t FSI engine works. It doesn’t matter if it was transverse or longitudinal.
Engine codes in are: BPG, BPY, BWT, and BUL. There may be more, but those are all common oil pumps/balance shaft assemblies.
I have a spare with clipper shafts, if needed.
Thanks.

Are you getting pressure warnings on the dash?

I'm curious too.
I've had my pump out and at 120k miles looks and feels fine-tell me,aside from oil pressure warning on dash, what other indications are there that the pump is about to fail ?
Just want to avoid a catastrophic failure where seizure and snapped chain results [=(]

No, oil pressure is fine but there is a rattle/clatter coming from the bottom, believe it to be the balance shafts or the chain tensioner so I'm preparing for the worst.

Keep in mind the pumps might be the same but the pickup tubes will be different depending on engine. Might want to pickup a new pickup tube with the pump.
