Just picked up a '06 A4 avant as my airport car, and need to add an aux or bluetooth adapter to the car asap so I don't have to deal with radio! Looks like a lot of people here have tried the Dension unit that adds bluetooth streaming to the factory radio, but are there any other good products out there? If I have to spend $230 for the Dension, I might as well just add a whole new head unit with touch screen. Thanks!

It's not the most elegant or static-free solution, but I bought a Bluetooth FM transmitter that plugs into the cigarette lighter for under $20. There's a little static at times while listening, but for the cost it works pretty well.

I highly recommend Dension and It cost me 135€ when I purchased it few months back. High audio quality and You can control music via steering wheel buttons.

Thanks. Found one on ebay for only $100, so that is pretty reasonable for adding bluetooth and keeping the stock head unit.

Hello,
I’m new to the forums and just installed a Dension Gateway Pro BT to my 2007, A4 cabrio. Did you run into an issue with missing the a 5amp fuse in slot #8?
Thanks
Jake

Fuse? The Dension didn't require any removal or addition of fuses. Just unplug the factory harness, and plug in the Dension. Done.

BUT: I didn't realize that by using the Dension, you have to give up the XM radio. Not a big deal as I only use it when they offer free weeks throughout the year.
