I have an opportunity to purchase a 2007 A4 with 2.0t with automatic front wheel drive for $1200. 106,000 Miles. Exterior and interior are very clean.
Anyway, the owner doesn’t know too much about cars, and he was told by an Audi specialist that the cylinder head needs to be replaced. Didn’t overheat, timing belt intact.
After i inspects the car, sounds as if it has low compression and the cam follower failed. He already replaced the HPFP.
Ultimately i already have good used BPG cylinder head i can swap with.
My question is, those of you who have experience with this issue, what are my odds of just doing a head replacement? Do you think the whole engine is shot?
