Hi am getting a lot of squeaking and chirping noise from under the hood while driving. It doesn't happen on startup and it increases as you step on the gas. It is intermittent and happens at idle (shifter in park) and when driving. The other day is was really bad, so I had to pull over and make an emergency appointment at the dealer because I thought something was catastrophic. After around 60 seconds the sound went away and I was able to drive normally. I don't have a check engine light and the car otherwise drives fine.

The dealer and a look at the issue and determined that the APR Supercharger Pulley and found that the belt is touching the pulley on the engine side and think that this is what is causing the issue. There is no visible damage/excessive wear to the belt/pulley.

I have talked to APR and they have never head of this, as well the APR dealer that installed the pulley hasn't encountered this. There are a couple of threads that are related but not quite an exact match to my issue.

Supercharger belt shredded while driving (https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/772492-Supercharger-belt-shredded-while-driving)
Pulley Alignment Issues (https://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/777662-Pulley-Alignment-Issues)

Trying to setup an appointment with the APR dealer for next week to see if they can see what the problem is.

Anyone else have this kind of issue?

If you spray water, on it, does it go away? Is then pulley on the blower all the way? You likely have an alignment issue, unless the tensioner is shot, and making this noise

Didn't think about doing this, I can try it out tomorrow. It definitely sounds like an alignment issue but don't understand how it can be misaligned. I will have to review the installation instructions to see how the alignment can be adjusted.

I didn't do the install, is there a way to tell if its the APR belt? there is writing on the belt...something like BAND RIB-ACE 7PlK1...

That is Bando's 7PK belt. I run the Gates RPM, but the Bando ACE should be equivalent quality. I doubt it is the belt. It may be alignment if the installer did not get the pulley on all the way down the neck of the s/c shaft. If so, the only way to "adjust" would be to pull it, heat it up again and start over. It is an interference fit.

I would think that the belt tensioner may have a weak spring or the tensioner pulley may be worn on its shaft. That happens over time. They are inexpensive and easy to replace. How many miles are on the car?

I had the same problem! I changed both pulleys, one twice thinking it was defective. I can bet it’s the belt!! And mine was fairly new as well.

Well i do hope so, sounds like that would be easier than replacing the whole pulley.

If it’s squeaky and not falling off, it’s probably not the sc or crank pulley. It could be the idler or tensioner but because of my experience i’m guessing its the belt, mine looked shiny too.

I had this on stock pulley. Changed the charger belt to a conti tech and it sounded terrible. I was convinced it was the bearings in the supercharger. Exhausted every avenue so I put the old oe belt back on as a last resort and everything was fine again. Ordered a new genuine belt and that has been fine also.
