I'm going to be installing my rs4 grille very soon and I'd like to have a clip to mount my badge with. I thought that Maty360414 was the guy everyone was using but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. I'd prefer not to glue the thing to the front of the grille itself... what's everyone else using lately?
I found this but I have no idea if it's any good: https://www.shapeways.com/product/QGJRMKE6K/audi-badge-clip-for-honeycomb-grilles

That looks like it will work. I used one from Maty36014, and while it works well to hold the emblem on, it still had a bit of play, so I used some 3m emblem tape behind it to keep it solidly in place. Trouble is not all honeycomb grilles have the same size openings, so it is hard to get a nice tight fit on some.

Am I going to need the one with the 15 degree down angle to it or the other one he has with zero angle to the clip face, for grilles that have no slope?

Honestly, never thought about any angle on mine. IMHO, I don't think 15 degrees is really going to matter either way.

Actually, taking a look... the angled one is just for the ones with the angled honeycomb style... like, the more modern slat looking style. I think for mine I can just get the zero.
Hopefully it doesn't suck. I don't mind doing a little adjusting or a little emblem tape, I just don't want to start from scratch and reinvent the wheel.

Actually thinking about it now, Maty's definitely wasn't at any angle.

I don't know if my solution will be a little to farmer fix for some of you but when I installed my grill in my S4 I had some really hard closed cell black foam, it was from an old saddle pad, just cut it to shape and put a slice down the middle of it, cut part of the tab on the back of the badge that runs vertical. Slid the remaining tab into the slit in the foam and pushed it into the grill. It holds very well and yes I do realize that could be stolen easier but it's in there pretty good. Just my 2 cents.

I have an extra one. It's black. PM me for it.

Well shoot, I placed the order for the one off shapeways already. If it sucks, I'm definitely gonna PM you though. Thanks!

Mine had play too. Ended up shaving down my emblem and using jb weld to hold it all in place. Wouldve had the same effect with or without the clip tbh.

I used 3m tape and cut to fit with an exacto. I like the flush look and it’s been fine so far
