View Full Version : Anyone try an In-Line fuel pump?

I'm running out of fuel up top on e85. I was in the process of upgrading the in tank pump but decided against it as I wish to keep surge and the line that runs to the other part of the tank.
An in line pump is in order. Are there any out there that kicks in only of the pressure drops to a certain bar?
Current fueling:
Rs4 injectors
175 Bar PRV at 140 bar
RS4 fuel pump controller.
"Newish" in tank pump.
e85.
Any help would be appreciated.

I don’t have an in-line pump, but I run two Walbro 485s in a fuel cell.
What I would suggest is a proper surge tank, with a submerged 485. You’ll always have enough fuel, and should never see cuts. With a proper fuel pressure regulator, it’ll ensure excess fuel is returned to tanks.
You’ll want something like the Torqbyte PM3 or PM4 to control it, using OEM control + duty cycle.
Ask me if you need more details about my setup, but I never have Fuel starvation issues.

Same here DW300 intank and the torqbyte CM5 I believe is what’s forcing my fuel. 145 prv on rail. No fueling troubles for me using torqbyte control system/software

Is the torquebytes the way to go now? I have not seen the RS4 controller around for some time.
