My 2014 just hit 55k and my rear pads need replaced. I will be going with Akebono pads but deciding between stock and Zimmerman rotors. If you have the Zimmerman how do you like them? I’m specifically interested in how they are holding up to corrosion? One thing I like about my stock rotors is that they have little to no rust around the hub. Hoping the Zimmerman’s hold up just as well and do not turn into a rusty mess.

So far so good on the Zims/Akebono combo but then I only have 1K on them. They don't bite as much as the stock setup. Re corrosion, there is what they call Z coating on the zims. Only the area where the pads make contact with the rotors is it worn away. I'm not expecting any significant rust with these parts.

Rust is minimal at most and non-existent after a few stops. I have used nothing but Zimmerman rotors on my two Audis because they are actually OEM and I love the stock brakes ... and no rust [;)]

Have had the Zimmerman rotors on my rears for about 3 years now with textar(oem) pads. No issues at all. No issues with corrosion as well.

Great to know, didn't realize they were OEM

I have them with akebono pads on my S5 for 2 years/17K miles, no rust at all, very well built. I can't tell the difference between them and the OEM
