Installation Note: It is imperative that the suspension be compressed to static ride height before any suspension pivot bushings are tightened, as per the factory installation procedure. If this is not done, the bushings will tear prematurely as the twisting forces on them will be much higher than is intended. Meyle's Limited Warranty on Heavy-Duty products does not cover premature failure due to improper installation or use. We highly recommend professional installation for this product.

Absolutely... I have a bit over 4 years on my kit and not a single issue.

I had some questions on the M12 vs M14. Do you know what the reason for the change was? If you have an M12 car, is there any reason why you wouldn't want to go to the M14 ball joints?

How do these compare with the 034 Motorsport set?

I just bought this...good price....the front end is starting to get "clunky" at 68,000 miles...

Does this company make adjustable upper control arms as well? I could not find any and am about to change out to Bilstein Permance kit and doing the control arms as well.

The M12 and M14 kits are not interchangeable unfortunately.

I personally like the Meyle arms better... if you compare them side by side you'll see that the Meyle are higher quality.

These carry a 5 year warranty. Were they pre loaded when installed?

Unfortunately they do not.

No, these are the original factory installed control arms, in my experience the rubber bushings of the upper arms typically start to fail around this mileage. This was my same experience with my B5 A4 and B5 Passat. It is not a durable design....

If lowered on H&R OE Sport springs, would it still be possible to have the wheels aligned within factory spec?

Oh I see... hopefully these will last longer than the originals. [race]

If lowering the car you want the toe to be as close to 0 as possible.

Original arms are lasting 80-150k , I need new arms and everywhere Iv looked all arm kits only last 5-10k max or 3-5 years , the HD meyle kit looks ok and priced in the middle but I’m reading lots of bad press about Chinese production etx even with lemforder arms

Not sure what to buy tbh

Main thing is to tighten them with the suspension under weight of the car or they will fail. I had a shop install my Meyle kit and when I picked it up the front end was high. I had to loosen control arms and put a jack under the suspension and re-tighten them under load. I asked the mechanic if he did that and he said it’s not needed and will settle. The car sat perfectly after I re-torqued them. Unfortunately a lot of mechanics have that it’ll be fine mentality.

They have been on for 30k and fine so far. It’s hard to know what the cause of failure was for people who claim a failure that soon. Oil leaks will destroy a bushing as well as incorrect installation. Also remember that people come to the internet to complain but rarely to praise.

Spot on, most control arm failures are super quick when they are not installed correctly... 9/10 the part is blamed as being "junk" and "defective".
