Race him, but expect to win. In the last mag I read, a Spec B legacy ran a 13.7 with the same 250hp engine. Since you have so many mods, expect a win. But have fun.

i have a B6 S4 w chip, intake and catback. i ran a legacy GT on the highway 80-150 and we were DEAD even. saw him at the dragway later that night and he said he was 100% stock. you will most likely win.

Me(A4+revo) and a friend of mine(Legacy GT 05) got up to 90m/h two days ago and nobody could ask for a clear win. We were maybe like a foot in front of each other turn by turn (him in the first gear, me in the second, him again in the third gear). He is claiming his car hits 5.5 sec from 0-60, I doubt my car is the same; but still, the A4 stands pretty good agains his car.
We both have had same start, and as I said we run pretty much the same up to 90, when he pushed the brakes hard, and I did the same second later(when I realized we were at 90 on a 40).

His car is stock, I just got the revo chip two weeks ago. The chip is huge performance (especially for the $500 paid), u can really feek the difference.

my buddy has one. It's quick. He's done software upgrades and he's fast. but he's not that fast. an S4 will beat you (unless your buddy can't drive).

It's fast, don't get me wrong. ungodly fast out of the box. I mean, I had to upgrade to a flash and injectors and exhaust all to stick with my buddy. And now he did software and he's putting 300 to the wheels.

but in stock form, with just little bolt-ons, the S4 should take you.

btw, check out cobb tuning. you already have the UP and DP, so you can go to their stage II. All I could say was 'dayamn'

you on the LegacyGT.com forums?

I would expect V8 S4 to be faster then a Legacy GT

A4 on the other hand ... is that a mistype in the title?

with those mods, he should be right, actually. granted, with not much more work he'll be wrong. but right now, the S4 should take the GT.

interesting, I thought V8 S4 was very fast, just how fast is a plain turbo legacy? or is this some kind of special package?

well they have different trims. And GT is the highest trim, and subie claims that in a straight line it can out run a porsche boxter in 0-60. Now this could be the old model boxter, not the new body style. So.....with that said, a fourbanger turbo that is super light, agaisnt a super duper heavy v-8. Not to mention as stated above, the subie is modded.

I ran Harman Automotives Legacy with every thing done but a bigger turbo.

I couldnt even see him by the end of 3rd gear. He was pretty far behind.

Was this with your current mod setup? Straight line run? Rolling or from a stop?

i believe harman automotive's legacy is AT
he probably runs flat 13 if not low 13s

stock LGT should beat B7 or B6 S4

You are telling me stock LGT is faster than stock STI? The stock STI can not even run flat 13 for majority of them. They are low to mid 13's.... Go check out NASIOC.com.....

My STI with TBE and COBB tuning ran 12.67 (It's still a record for this setup in NASIOC.com) but majority of guys with same setup can not even break 12's... They get low 13's...

I will assure you that you will see amazing pull of the V8 S4 in the highway. Go try it and report back... Don't just try 0-60miles run.. Try the 4th gear pull........ (you will realize how tiny VF40 is and is a mismatch for the Legacy with 2.5liter)..
