Hey guys,
Some of you may know me and other might not; so I am going to introduce myself. My name is Derrick and I have been around Audis for a few years now. I recently purchased a 06 B7 2.0T CVT and have installed the REVO tune on it. I will be trying a bunch of different things on the B7 and will post my results in hopes that it may help some of you decide what mods are good for you.

Welcome....i Remeber you from the B6 forum. Anyways why go CVT? I guess your mods wont be to much about performance?

I went with a CVT because my girlfriend doesn't drive stick and this is mainly our cruise car. I wanted her to be able to drive it. I will be getting some performance mods since I know for that the B6 CVT can handle the eliminator kit. It won't go all out, but I will be testing software, exhausts, test pipes, intakes, and a BT kit if they release one.
For fun I am going to buy my cousins GTI (1.8T) so I can have a cheap fun car to throw around.

Sounds good...it looks like all the Ex B6 Guys are doing it the right way with the B7... Between all of us we will have alot of info on different parts with great write ups.
All we need is for Anthony to put Sticky on all the writeups so we can refrence them quick.

Mike,
I hope we can be on the same side for once. Let's make a clean start from here. Thanks for the welcome.

So how is the software on the CVT? I also have a CVT, but have been debating about getting it flashed. I was also thinking of using REVO. Is the torque overwhelming to the point you think it will hurt the tranny?

The torque is pretty incredible. Launching this car is quite the chore. But if you put it into S mode, leave the line without mashing the pedal, then slowly get on it; it will out run a G35. Is it enough to hurt the tranny? Only time will tell. I hope not. In the mean time it is fun as hell to drive! This is a leased car (as we are waiting for the B8) so it will be under warranty the entire time we own it. So if anything happens, back goes the stock software and off to the dealer she goes.

No not yet but it is a Quartz Gray sedan with the RS4/Ultra Sport (not the new RS4 but the older) wheels. All stock for now except the REVO software.
