The newer builds seem to have lost the ability to verify the rear wiper functionally with the red light at the end of the stalk. I would like to know if this was a change that was recently implemented. My previous loaners and MY17 allroad had the functionality. I would certainly hope it’s not gone. My dealer has been unable to verify

Hello! My contact over at Product Support let me know that to his knowledge, there was no change to this feature based on model year.

Vincenzo. Can you please find out why my car doesn’t have the light at the end of the stalk and some identical models do and don’t have the light!? They all are the same packages- just different build months

My 2018 SQ5 does not have the light at the end of the stalk.

Then why does Audi advertise this in the owners manual as one of the features? And we don’t have it?

Hello everyone,
I was able to perform some additional digging on this topic and it seems a change was made to the part but the information was not widely put into circulation. The stalk was changed to a part that does not have the red LED light for Q5/SQ5, Allroad and Q7. Any Q5/SQ5/Allroad built after Calendar Week 51 of 2017 will not have it and for Q7 the change took place after Calendar week 45 of 2017.

Hello Vincenzo. My SQ5 was built week 47 of 2017 but still does not have the light at the end of the stalk.
