Hey guys, thought I'd pick your brains. Recently installed a set of KW V3's with the avant rear springs, but my rear ride hide left to right is way different. On the left side the height is adjusted all the way up with a FTG of 25.75", while the right side is adjust to Max low with a FTG of 26.5". Kinda puzzled right now so any help would be amazing. Cheers!

Might be a dumb idea but did you measure the spring lengths? Do they look like they compress the same?

1. Did you install the spring upside down on one side ?
2. How long as it been, the setup may have not fully settled yet?
3. I have some slight variation in my rear from left to right which is hard to dial in perfectly unless on a completely leveled ground.

If you can find an alignment shop that performs coil over ride height adjustment and corner balancing you will be happy to spend the $300 to $400 on the service.

There are probably a variety of alignment specifications to choose from to suit your handling objectives.

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI had the springs standing next to each other on the bench and they were exactly the same height, but I didn't actually measure them no. They do look like they compress the same

2. It's been 3 days, with about 400 miles on them, which I know isn't long but I've never had such a height variance on coils before
3. Yeah I'd get if I was trying to dial in that last 1/8th or 1/16th of an inch it would be pretty hard without a truly level surface, but mines an obvious 1 inch difference regardless of road surface.
Shits killing me haha. Hopefully it does settle in, just seems like way too much

You may need to relax your suspension bushings. Check this thread out my friend made a while ago, I know it's for an Acura TL, but the same scenario could apply here with your car. Another friend of mine had this issue with his S2000 as well when he lowered his car, relaxing the suspension bushings was what fixed it for him.

Excellent point. If the bushings are not allowed to turn to compensate for your ride height change the could affect you

Your attempt to get the height correct. And it will tear the bushing material.

Sent from my iPhone using Audizine (http://r.tapatalk.com/byo?rid=87676)Exactly. I'll give it a go and report back. Rookie move on my part. Everything that I touched was torqued with the suspension compressed, but I didn't relieve the existing bushings in the rear that I didn't touch

So went through and relaxed all the bushings in the rear, and no change at all. Kinda stumped at this point. Only thing else I can think of is the spring rate is slightly higher on the right side than the left

If they are the same length unloaded and then again are the same length under load, I wouldn’t think compression rate would be playing a role.
What are your actual measurements?

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkAfter relaxing the bushings it's 26.2" FTG on the right ride with the collar set for Max low. On the left side it's 26" FTG with the collar adjusted about 7/8" up

When you put the springs back in did you put them back on the same side they came out of?
It’s a bit of work but I’d try swapping them side to side see if it makes a difference and take it from there.

I have tried to set the ride height on two of my cars and I eventually had it done at a shop. I could never get it perfect no matter how many times I adjusted the coilovers.
